What's on in Alicante this weekend, 4 to 6 September 2026
A tech meetup, TEDx talks, a club anniversary and a Sunday concert: what's on in and around Alicante from 4 to 6 September.
The first weekend of September is usually when Alicante exhales. The summer circus packs up, the beaches get their space back, and the events calendar swaps festivals for smaller, smarter stuff. Here's what's on from Friday 4 September to Sunday 6 September, plus one course that starts the day before.
The short version
- Thursday 3 to Friday 4 September: a climate data journalism course at IUMPA
- Saturday 5 September: a tech meetup over coffee, TEDx talks, and the start of Camelot's anniversary party
- Sunday 6 September: bands at the ADDA, and Camelot keeps going
Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September: data journalism for the climate
The Curso sobre periodismo de datos aplicado a la cobertura climática runs Thursday 3 September to Friday 4 September at IUMPA. It's two practical sessions on using data journalism to push back on environmental misinformation. The listing is entirely in Spanish, so count on the sessions being in Spanish too.
Saturday 5 September: the busy day
Build software over coffee
Alicante Tech: Café Cursor #1 (Build SaaS) happens on Saturday 5 September at Beet Vegetariano in Alicante. It's an open co-building session with Cursor for devs and founders - SaaS, indie projects, AI tools, freelance work, whatever you're on. If you've spent all summer coding alone in your flat, this is the fix. The same meetup also appears as Alicante Tech Vibes: Café Cursor #1, so either link works.
TEDx asks the big question
TEDxVillacarrillo 2026: Humano... ¿demasiado humano? is on Saturday 5 September at Teatro Coliseo. The theme is what it means to stay human in a world that's more and more automated. Fair warning: Villacarrillo is a proper drive from Alicante, so treat this as a day trip, not a night out.
Camelot turns 37
Camelot - 37 Aniversario runs from Saturday 5 September to Sunday 6 September at Club Camelot "El reino independiente". A club making it to 37 years is rare, and anniversary weekends tend to pull in everyone who ever danced there. Expect a crowd.
One for inCruises members
There's also an Evento - Valencia 05 de Septiembre at Hotel ILUNION Valencia on Saturday 5 September, billed as a day of connection, vision and leadership for inCruises members. It's pitched squarely at members, so skip it unless that's you.
Sunday 6 September: bands at the ADDA
Sunday goes classical. The XIII Ciclo Las Bandas de la Provincia en el ADDA brings Unión Musical Ciudad de Asís de Alicante to the ADDA - Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante on Sunday 6 September. The programme is titled "Alicante ayer y hoy" - Alicante yesterday and today. A local band playing music about its own city in a serious concert hall. That's a good Sunday.
