La Boheme

La Boheme is a friendly seafront restaurant on Calle Castillo in Moraira, near the castle and the beach, and it's a good bet for a good-value set lunch with a sea view. There's a terrace out front and an indoor room that also looks out to the water, with heaters and big umbrellas keeping the terrace going in cooler months. The food is straightforward Mediterranean: rice dishes, fideuà, fish, tapas and a few meat plates. Reviewers like the fried squid, croquettes, sea bass and swordfish, and the pork cheek rice gets a mention too. The menú del día is the main draw, with generous portions for the price. Rice is cooked to order, so expect a 20 to 30 minute wait. Service is quick and warm, and staff have been known to bring water for dogs. A couple of people found the seafood rice a bit mild or wished the desserts were homemade. It gets full, so book in high season.
