M2 Costa Blanca: the Torrevieja estate agent with a perfect Google score
M2 Costa Blanca in Torrevieja holds a 5.0 Google rating from 81 reviews. What that means if you're buying on the coast.
Nobody moves to Spain because they're excited about estate agents. But pick the wrong one and the dream move turns into a year of stress, so the agent question matters more than most people admit. M2 Costa Blanca Inmobiliaria in Torrevieja currently holds a perfect 5.0 on Google from 81 reviews. That's unusual in this trade, and it deserves a closer look.
What you're actually getting
M2 Costa Blanca is a real estate agency that works mainly with English-speaking buyers. The office sits at Av. de la Mancha, 30, planta 1, local 21 in Torrevieja. That's a first-floor unit in an ordinary commercial building, not a glossy shopfront by the seafront. Don't let it put you off. Plenty of solid Spanish businesses live upstairs in plain buildings, and a flash window display tells you nothing about how a firm handles a contract.
The English-speaking part is the real product here. Buying in Spain means an NIE number, a Spanish bank account, a notary appointment, and a stack of paperwork that arrives entirely in Spanish. If your Spanish stops at ordering a beer, an agency that walks you through all of that in your own language saves you real pain, not just awkwardness.
What a 5.0 from 81 reviews tells you, and what it doesn't
A perfect score across 81 reviews is a proper sample, not three mates leaving stars. For comparison, Matthieu Ramecourt at Century 21 in nearby Orihuela also sits at 5.0, from 39 reviews, and Blanca International up in Jávea holds a 5.0 from 14. All good numbers. M2's is simply the biggest sample of the three.
Here's the caveat. Estate agent reviews skew happy. People who complete a purchase leave stars, while people whose deal quietly fell apart in month three usually just walk away. So treat a high rating as a good sign, not a guarantee. And whatever agency you pick, hire your own independent lawyer, never one recommended by anyone on the selling side. That rule has protected more expat buyers than any review score ever will.
How it compares to the alternatives
The Costa Blanca property market splits roughly in two, and where you're buying matters more than which agent you warm to.
- Buying in the south, around Torrevieja and Orihuela: this is M2's home ground, and Century 21's too. The south coast is where most of the affordable apartments and the biggest expat communities are, so agents here spend all day on exactly the kind of purchase most first-time buyers in Spain are making.
- Buying in the north, around Jávea: look at Blanca International, based right there on Av. de l'Arenal and set up for international clients.
- Buying at the top end: Engel & Völkers in Jávea focuses on luxury homes and investment properties. Different budget, different world.
The honest downside for M2 is simple geography. If your search is anywhere north of Alicante city, a Torrevieja office is the wrong tool. Agents live off street-level local knowledge, and nobody has that for the whole coast.
The verdict
If you're buying in or around Torrevieja and want the process handled in English, M2 Costa Blanca is the obvious first call, with Century 21 in Orihuela the natural second opinion. Talk to both. Conversations with agents are free, and hearing two takes on the same area will teach you more than a week of scrolling property portals.
And once you've got keys, the boring settling-in decisions start. Our guides on Basic-Fit in Alicante and the Otoño en parques programme are a decent place to start on the living-here side.
Book viewings with two agencies, not one, and bring your own lawyer.
