Surfin Halloween at Sala Stereo: what to know before you go
Three guitar bands and a club night at Sala Stereo on Saturday 31 October 2026. What to know before you commit your Halloween.
Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, which in Alicante means every bar in the centre will have a queue and the good plans will go fast. If you'd rather have an actual destination than wander the old town in face paint, Sala Stereo has sorted one: three bands, then a club night, all under one roof.
What's actually on
The night is called Surfin Halloween con La Década Taleguera + Radio Days + Deaf Devils, on Saturday 31 October at Sala Stereo. Three guitar bands with attitude on one bill, and when they finish the night doesn't end - the BLITZMIX party takes over the club.
La Década Taleguera are the hometown act. The listing calls them veterans of the Alicante scene, playing at home, doing punk versions of rumba. Punk rumba is either a terrible idea or a brilliant one. There's only one way to find out, and honestly that's a decent reason on its own to book your Halloween around it.
Radio Days and Deaf Devils fill out the bill. We flagged this gig when it was first announced - the original announcement has the short version if you just want the basics.
The venue
Sala Stereo sits at C/ Pintor Velazquez 5, central enough that you can walk in from most of the old town. It holds a 4.1 on Google from 773 reviews, which is solid for a club - nobody reviews nightclubs the way they review restaurants, so read that as most people leaving happy.
The room itself is a big part of the appeal: industrial design, a serious sound system, and club energy without the pretentious attitude. On normal nights the DJs run from house and techno to Latin, so the club half of the evening is in safe hands.
Before you go
- Timing: live music in Spain starts late, and the club part later still. If you're coming for the bands, don't treat it like a club night and stroll in at 1am expecting to catch them.
- Tickets and door time: the event page is the place to check before you go. Don't gamble on the door on a Saturday Halloween.
- Getting home: taxis are a pain in the small hours of any big Saturday, and Halloween makes it worse. If you're staying central, walk. If not, sort your ride home before midnight, not after.
- It's a long night: three bands plus a club session is a marathon, not a quick drink. Pace yourself or pick your half.
Worth planning around?
Yes, if your idea of Halloween is loud guitars and a dance floor rather than a pub quiz in a wig. One venue covers the gig and the afterparty, which beats queueing around the Barrio at 2am hoping somewhere good still has space. Skip it if you want a quiet night, or if guitar bands aren't your thing - the city will have plenty of tamer options on the same evening.
And if live music is your thing but October doesn't suit, there's a Dire Straits tribute in Torrevieja on 13 November worth a look too.
Put Saturday 31 October in the diary and sort the tickets before the costume.
