“Cayo Coco Beach Bar”

Cayo Coco is a chiringuito on La Mata beach, at the old village end of Torre La Mata, and it's a good shout for a sunset cocktail with your feet near the sand. It's a seasonal beach bar, so think summer days and warm evenings rather than a year-round local. It runs from breakfast through to late drinks, with tardeo sessions in the afternoons and cocktails and smoothies once the sun starts dropping. It's run by the same people behind Kiosco Gloria over on Playa de Los Locos, so it has a similar easy beach-bar feel. Check its Instagram before heading over outside July and August, as it opens and closes with the season. On a hot summer night it's a much more relaxed alternative to the bigger beach clubs along this stretch of coast.
