La Terrasse

La Terrasse is the rooftop bar at the Port Benidorm Hotel & Spa on Avenida de Estocolmo, and it's where you go for a sunset cocktail with a wide view over the city. You don't have to make a big night of it; it works just as well for one well-made drink. The view gets the most praise, followed closely by the cocktails, which come with a bit of theatre in the presentation. Sangria and a strong wine list are the other draws, and there's a tapas menu if you want to eat. Staff are regularly singled out for being attentive and happy to explain the menu, which a few people found a bit confusing at first. It opens from 8am through lunch, closes for the afternoon, then reopens in the evening and runs until 2am. Aim for the evening session around sunset for the best of it. One note: a couple of diners found the tapas portions on the small side, so treat the food as a snack.
