Penelope is one of Benidorm's oldest party names, going since 1968, and this is its beach club on Avenida Alcoy, right on the front at Levante beach. You come here for drinks with the sea in front of you, from lazy afternoons to proper nights out. Unlike a lot of beach bars, it's open all year round, so it's a reliable option outside summer too. It's well set up for groups, with a VIP area and packages for stag and hen parties and birthdays, and the venue can be hired for private events. The brand's original nightclub is a separate venue out on the Avenida Comunidad Valenciana, so don't mix the two up when you're getting a taxi. There are themed party nights through the year, such as Halloween and New Year's Eve, so check what's on before you go. It's a lively, touristy spot rather than a quiet drink, and that's exactly why people go.
