Concerto Club

Concerto is a lounge bar that turns into a club, in the Calle Castaños nightlife zone of central Alicante, and you'd go when you want a drink that rolls on into dancing without changing venue. It's been going since 2008 and is part of Grupo Concerto, the same people behind the Havana bars and Pelican Club. Early on it works as an after-work spot with soft lighting, a terrace and shisha. As the night goes on the volume goes up, and the music runs from 80s and 90s classics to commercial house, with jazz nights and reggaeton nights on the calendar too. On Fridays and Saturdays there's a tardeo from mid-afternoon, and it stays open until the early hours most nights. There's a VIP room if you're celebrating, bookable through the group. Reviewers like the decor and the friendly staff, but a few find it overpriced and say service can slip when it's busy. Think of it as a dressier option on a street full of bars.
