Lonja de Torrevieja

This is Torrevieja's fish auction hall, not a restaurant. It's where the local fleet's catch is sold to wholesalers, in a modern building at the port that opened around 2022. You can't really drop in and order lunch here. What visitors can do is join a guided port tour that starts at the fishing pier. It runs for about 90 minutes in Spanish and English, and includes the lonja, a live auction and a tasting of fresh fish. It's listed on Minube from about €15 a head. The hall has also hosted town events, such as a paella contest during the Virgen del Carmen fiestas. We couldn't confirm whether you can walk in and buy fish directly. If you want to buy, ask at the Cofradía de Pescadores first, or call the number on this listing. For a sit-down seafood meal, try one of the restaurants along the front instead.
