Da Ciro

Da Ciro is a Neapolitan pizzeria on Calle Castaños in central Alicante, run by Salvatore and Ciro since 2020, and it's one of the safest bets in town for a proper pizza. The dough follows the certified traditional Neapolitan recipe and is baked in a stone oven at 450 to 500°C for about 90 seconds, so you get that soft middle and puffy, charred crust. They use ingredients imported from Italy, and the buffalo mozzarella pizza gets plenty of love. It's not just pizza: there's fresh homemade pasta too, with reviewers praising dishes like aubergine, truffle and buffalo pasta and gnocchi in tomato sauce. The staff come across as friendly and quick, and there's a street terrace on Castaños where you'll often get buskers with your dinner. Prices are reasonable. Book at peak times, as it's popular, though walk-ins sometimes get lucky. They also deliver if you're staying in.
