Cosmopolitan Fitness & Wellness Club

Cosmopolitan is a big, multi-level fitness club on Calle Girona in central Alicante, and it's one of the few city-centre gyms with a heated indoor pool and a proper spa. Come here if you want to train and then sit in a jacuzzi without leaving town. There's a large gym floor with machines and free weights, studios for group classes, and a packed timetable that includes body combat, cycling, yoga, Pilates, Zumba and aqua classes. The urban spa has saunas, a jacuzzi and hydrotherapy jets, and there's a terrace and solarium. Extras include nutrition and physio consultations and a kids' play area. It's run by the same company as the Cosmopolitan club in Elche. Reviews are mixed. People like the central location, the renovated machines and the pool and spa when it's all running. Common gripes are bits of kit or the spa being out of action, the small pool getting taken over by aqua classes, short weekend opening hours, and hassle cancelling memberships.
