Restaurante Miramar

Miramar is the all-day café and restaurant on the north mole of Santa Pola's marina, the kind of place you drop into for breakfast and end up staying for lunch. It sits inside the Marina Miramar complex, right by the boats, and it's open from early morning until late every day. The menu is unfussy Santa Pola cooking: seafood tapas, fish from the bay, simple rice dishes and paella, with ensaladilla on plenty of tables. Reviewers point to a good-value weekday set lunch with starters, a main of meat, fish or paella, then dessert and coffee. On Sundays the draw is a caldero menu, the town's classic rice cooked in fish stock, which one diner rated as excellent. It's a casual, sensibly priced spot rather than a special-occasion one. Ring ahead if you want a table for the Sunday caldero. Prices quoted in older reviews may have moved, so check the menu when you arrive.
