Teatre Day & Night

Teatre Day & Night is a weekend pub on Calle Tomás López Torregrosa in central Alicante that runs from an afternoon party into a techno night. Everybody seems to stop by at some point to meet friends and have a few drinks. It only opens on Fridays and Saturdays, from 4pm until the early hours. The afternoons are relaxed and social, then later in the evening the music turns to techno, electronic and dance, and that's when the regulars who call it the best techno spot in town come into their own. The crowd tends to be a bit more grown-up, and people like the decoration and the feeling that it's a bit of a special place. Reviewers say the staff are good and that it feels like a safe place to dance. One gripe that crops up is an unfriendly bouncer, so be polite on the door. Saturday afternoon into evening is the sweet spot.
