Casa Segis

Casa Segis is a rice and grill restaurant a few metres from the beach in El Campello, out on the Muchavista side, and it's where you book for a long rice lunch. The rice is cooked over vine-shoot fire, and the choice runs from peeled seafood rice and black rice with cuttlefish to ribs with tender garlic, lamb chops with artichokes and a lobster rice for a treat. The grill does wild sea bass, turbot and aged beef, and starters include red-prawn croquetas, garlic prawns and chargrilled artichokes. Diners regularly say the rice comes out well seasoned and cooked just right. It's mostly a lunch place, with evening service on Fridays and Saturdays and a short night-only menu with things like fried rabbit with tomato.
