Javea
Coves, clear water and a big international community under the Montgó.
Jávea, or Xàbia in Valencian, sits under the Montgó mountain on the northern Costa Blanca. It splits into three parts: the old town inland, the working port, and the Arenal, the sandy beach with most of the bars and restaurants.
The real draw is the coastline. Coves like Granadella, viewpoints at Cap de la Nau and clear water make it a favourite for swimming and snorkelling. A large international community lives here year round, so plenty of places stay open outside summer.
